[Hello, Johto! Meet one of your newest arrivals: a ten-year-old girl with a mane of long, yellow hair sitting at the edge of the Route 27 waters, a Drifloon floating idly a yard or so away. The girl's Trainer's Manual is among some other items she'd emptied from her backpack, though it isn't hard to tell from the way it's tossed aside that she'd gotten frustrated with it. Instead, she now has her PokeGear in hand -- not that she knows what it's called -- and is busily pushing buttons, hoping for a better result than she got from the book.]

[The accidental broadcast begins with a close up of Mary's puzzled eyes, but her expression quickly changes to one of surprise, then again to a bright smile as she pulls the 'Gear away from her face.]
Oh, it's me! Hehehe!
[The camera drops for a few seconds as she pushes herself to her feet and takes a few steps so she can grab her Drifloon by its strings and pull it closer, offering it a view of the screen too.]
Look, 'Loony, it's us! [A pause.] But how come we're on the screen all of a sudden?
[She seems to contemplate this question for a moment before coming to a realization:]
Maybe it's a camera? Oooh! 'Loony, let's take a picture! [She moves to hold the device at arm's length, 'Loony tucking herself under Mary's chin.] Cheeeeeeese!
[But Mary then remembers she doesn't know what button to press to take the picture. Her brow furrows and she pulls the PokeGear close again, fussing with the buttons until the feed cuts off.]
