[Mary isn't more than vaguely aware of the wave of nightmares passing through the Pokemon world, but nonetheless, she has good news to cheer everyone up! With an excited look in her eyes, she's proud to announce:]

Look, look! I have a baby bunny now!

[And she turns the camera to the floor where a Bunneary, just about a week old, is happily hopping after 'Loony's strings, her previously unseen Hoppip buzzing about behind them as if to encourage the baby Pokemon.]

Her name is Bunny. She's really cute!

[The Hoppip is named Hoppy, by the way. Mary is VERY original, what are YOU talking about.

After a long moment of the little blonde's giggling as she watches her family of Pokemon, she voices a quiet 'oh!' before bringing the 'Gear back to show her curious face.]

So what kinds of fun places are there here? Ib said there's a farm... But we wanna go to other places too! [A big smile.] We wanna do all kinds of fun stuff!

[The video feed cuts out for a few seconds before Mary turns it right back on to add,]

Um, thank you!

[Dante only wishes he could share Mary's enthusiasm. The past two nights of nightmares have left quite a mark on him; he looks tired and, for lack of a better word, shadowed, but he still has it within him to give Mary a warm smile. Children don't need to know about the worries of an adult.]

She is a very adorable rabbit. Did you catch her?

[Mary's quite happy to hear the familiar voice, a grin adorning her face as she responds to him. No matter how stern Dante could get with her, he'd become a temporary father figure during their time traveling together, and she's missed him since they parted.]

Dante! [A giggle, and she shakes her head, blonde hair bouncing everywhere.]

Nuh-uh. Ib gave gave me an egg!

[He had grown equally fond of Mary in the short period of time they had journeyed together; perhaps it was too fast and forward of him, but he regarded her as a ward under his protection. His time in Cherrygrove had been over; he should get back to Mary and see how she's doing for himself.]

I see! That is very kind of Ib. Did you make sure to thank her?

[Maybe it was a bit forward, but Mary was more than happy to be taken under Dante's wing. It was guidance and protection she'd never had before -- that she never knew she wanted. Not until her final moments in her home world.]

I did! [And she makes a big sweeping motion with her arms -- well, one arm, considering she has to hold the 'Gear.]

Ib had a whooole bunch of eggs, but I picked Bunny because Ib likes bunnies. So we match now!

Good girl.

[Dante nods his approval. Mary's manners were a little rusty, but she was geniune in her attempts to please people and she was still but a child. It would be up to him to make sure that she knew right from wrong.]

Be sure to take good care of her then. I'll see the two of you shortly, if you're still at Goldenrod.

[His stern countenance holds for a second longer, before he breaks into a soft smile.]

...and I may have a present for you.

[Possibly getting to see Dante again gets Mary excited enough, but the mention of a present earns an outright gasp from the little blonde.]

A present?! What is it?

Patience, young Mary. It is a surprise, and surprises get better with time.

...but perhaps you should check if you have space for one more Pokemon.

[Nonetheless, the clue is enough to sate her for now, and she grins.]

I do! I only have three.

Then you will soon have a fourth.

I should reach the city in two week's time. Till then, take care of yourself Mary. Remember to do good at all times and I shall see you as soon as I can.

I'll be good, promise!

[She seems about finished with the conversation, but only until she remembers to add something:]

Oh, um... Be safe!

[The words come out rather bashfully, compared to the usual enthusiasm she says everything with, like she's unsure if it's the right phrase to use. It's something people have been saying to her when she goes out, and though she didn't quite get it before, what she understands the sentiment to be is one she certainly wants to extend to Dante.]

[Dante switches off his side of the conversation, feeling much happier than he has been for the past few weeks. Nothing touches a person's heart than sincerity, and Mary's made him all the more determined to reach home in time to pass her her very late birthday present.]

[ Having asked around earlier herself, she received a number of answers but hardly any of them were worth suggesting to a child. So instead she'll just express her joy at the new baby in person. ]

[The smile Mary wears as she regards her Pokemon turns into an outright grin at the Servant's voice.]

Miss Saber!

[With a laugh, Mary rushes forward to scoop Bunny into her arms, causing the Pokemon some surprise even if she's quite used to it, then pads toward Saber and raises Bunny up to offer her to the older woman.]

Do you wanna hold her, Miss Saber?

[Bunny squeaks her name curiously before reaching out for Saber, struggling as if to get to her.]

Mary! I'm so glad Bunny hatched so soon for you! [BEAMING.]
